DKLM LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Henson as a Partner and Joint Head of the Employment Law Team. Philip trained at a leading West End law firm, and was previously a Partner at boutique City law firm Bargate Murray.
Philip’s practice covers all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment law and he has clients in the UK, and North American (Canada and the United States of America), across several sectors including: Advertising; Entrepreneurs; Fashion; Financial Services; Human Resources; Legal Services; Media; and Tech.
Philip is often asked to comment on employment law related matters in the national and international media, including for: BBC News 24; Sky News; ITN News; BBC Radio; City Am; the Solicitors Journal; the Guardian Newspaper and various HR and political web sites. Philip has recently been asked to chair the prestigious annual CIPD conference in London this summer.
Philip is an accredited mediator; a member of The Employment Lawyers Association; a fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA); an associate Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies; an international Affiliate Member of the American Bar Association, and an occasional lecturer on the University of Leicester LL.M Employment Law Course.
Keen to help the local community Philip has recently established a prize to be awarded to a local community leader who has worked with under privileged children. He is also an occasional volunteer at a Chinese Community centre in China Town (London).
