News reaches us that the London office of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) will move from its current address on Victoria Embankment to Fleetbank House on Dorset Rise, near Fleet Street. It is a mere hop and a skip from its current location, and edging closer to the Olde Cheshire Cheese pub.
Fleetbank house is the current home of the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Here is a link showing the location of the new office – http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=EC4Y+8JX&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=London+EC4Y+8JX&gl=uk&ei=GAasTeq3FpGp8APW6o25Ag&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBYQ8gEwAA
The move is expected to happen at the end of this year, in November or December. I hope that the Department of Justice will arrange for tours of the new premises for lawyers, and members of the public, as they did with the Supreme Court.
